DuPage Honor Flight fundraiser rescheduled

The DuPage Veterans Foundation has rescheduled its annual fundraiser for Honor Flight Chicago until Saturday, Sept. 12.

The event originally was scheduled to take place Saturday, May 2, but organizers are postponing it because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The venue will be the Calamos Investments hangar at the DuPage Airport, 2700 International Drive, West Chicago, and all tickets purchased for the original date will be honored.

The fundraiser is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes lunch, bagpipers, a patriotic program and views of period military vehicles, aircraft and vintage military uniforms.

Organizers continue to seek silent auction items as well as financial contributions to support Honor Flight trips for World War II and Korean War veterans, who will be honored during the program.

Veterans of World War II and the Korean War will be admitted free. Tickets for adult attendees are $30 in advance, $40 at the door; children 12 and younger are $20. For tickets, visit www.dupageveteransfoundation.org.
