Hanover Township handling increased demand for services

In addition to its food pantry, Hanover Township has been providing other essential services for which there is greater need during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Since last week, the township has conducted 68 rides for dialysis or other urgent medical appointments. Facilities and maintenance staff who also drive the snow plows in the winter are rotating in to drive township buses.

Also since last week, more than 470 home-delivered meals have been brought to qualifying residents by township staff. The Monday-Friday service is typically delivered by volunteers, but the regular township staff has taken over this role exclusively to reduce the risk of exposure to a greater number of people.
