Buffalo Grove says there are 7 to 12 coronavirus cases in community

Buffalo Grove confirmed several cases of coronavirus in the community.

A message sent to residents said the community has seven to 12 confirmed cases.

Village officials urged all residents to stay home and not to assemble in parks or at other public properties in the village. Buffalo Grove police will be "responding to reports of these types of gatherings. This also means do not host groups of people in your homes," the message said.

Residents who think they have coronavirus should call their primary care physicians first to receive medical guidance and to stay at home unless directed to a medical facility for testing. Anyone with severe symptoms - such as having trouble breathing, shortness of breath, chest pain or an extremely high fever - should call 911, the village said
