Naperville Park District offering blood donation opportunities

Naperville Park District will offer several blood donation opportunities at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center to make up for blood drives that have been canceled in light of concerns about the new coronavirus.

Four donation opportunities are scheduled in the coming weeks, and all are set to take place in the community hall on the upper level of the Riverwalk Community Center at 305 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville.

Donors can give blood from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11.

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, which is partnering with the park district to offer the donation opportunities, will take steps to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
