Hanover Township issues disaster proclamation

Hanover Township Supervisor Brian McGuire has issued a local disaster proclamation to enhance the township's response to COVID-19.

All programs and special events will be canceled or rescheduled through April 18.

The need for urgent, in-person appointments will be made on a case-by-case basis with the appropriate staff person.

Township transportation services will also be limited through April 4, with the exception of dialysis and other critical appointments. Riders will be required to wear gloves and face masks.

The township will continue to deliver meals to homebound, qualifying residents.

The town hall, senior center, and food pantry will remain open to serve the community and accept donations.

Hanover Township Emergency Services volunteers have transitioned to a 24-hour staffing model in order to facilitate a quicker response and free up first responders faster.
