Hanover Township Food Pantry offers curbside pickup

The Hanover Township Food Pantry at 7431 Astor Ave. in Hanover Park is open for curbside pickup to serve residents in need as a result of precautions from coronavirus (COVID-19).

Pantry users may call ahead to place an order or will be greeted at the entrance with a list of items available. Township staff will carry supplies to vehicles.

The pantry is open on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday from 1 to 6 p.m., Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Food pantry donations can be dropped off at the town hall, senior center or Astor Avenue Community Center (Food Pantry). Most needed items include: canned soup, meats and other meals, pasta, pasta sauce, canned or frozen vegetables, macaroni and cheese, granola bars, milk, cereal, peanut butter, bread, and rice. Township staff can unload donations from vehicles brought to township facilities.
