Krishnamoorthi, 8th District challengers expected at Schaumburg forum Saturday

The three candidates in the Democratic primary for the 8th Congressional District seat are expected to attend a forum from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The candidates are incumbent Raja Krishnamoorthi of Schaumburg and challengers William Olson of Schaumburg and Inam Hussain of Libertyville.

The forum will be conducted by the League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area and is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.

No Republican candidates filed for the March 17 primary or are yet slated for the Nov. 3 general election.

The 8th District is roughly centered in Schaumburg and includes areas of northwest Cook, northeast DuPage and northeast Kane counties.
