Go Gurnee walk Saturday at McDonald Woods in Lindenhurst

The Gurnee Park District is hosting another Go Gurnee walk Saturday morning at the McDonald Woods Forest Preserve in Lindenhurst. Go Gurnee is a community walking initiative that began four years ago and has expanded to communities across Lake County. The program encourages residents to walk in their neighborhood for 30 minutes every day.

McDonald Woods Forest Preserve is at 19611 West Grass Lake Road in Lindenhurst. The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. and walk for around 3.5 miles. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle rolling hills, and most of the walking will be on crushed gravel. Pets are allowed.
