Hoffman Estates' most community-involved businesses to be honored

The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry will recognize members and businesses that best demonstrated their community involvement and chamber support during 2019 at its 8th annual Celebration of Excellence Awards Dinner.

The dinner, slideshow and awards presentation will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Chicago Marriott Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

The six award categories for the evening are Business of the Year, Public Sector/Non-Profit Partner of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, the Chairman's Award and the Splash Award.

The nominees for Business of the Year are Divine Signs & Graphics, Main Event Entertainment, Andigo Credit Union and Red Roof Plus+.

Contenders for Public Sector/Non-Profit Partner of the Year are Northern Illinois University - Hoffman Estates, Township of Schaumburg, Village of Hoffman Estates - Transportation Department, St. Hubert's Job & Network Ministry, Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates and the Hoffman Estates Police Department.

Small Business of the Year nominees are Loyal2Community, Blink Tees, Higgins Automotive, Wholesome Health Pharmacy and Minuteman Press Hoffman Estates.

The individuals nominated for Volunteer of the Year are Bill Hickey of Travelex International, Steve Long of Blink Tees, Keith Evans of Key Financial Insurance Agency, and Patti Smolin of the Schaumburg Township District Library.

In contention for the Splash Award - which recognizes a new chamber member that has demonstrated extraordinary enthusiasm and support for the organization - are Signature Transportation Group, Allstate-Sundara Insurance Group LLC, Hideaway Brew Garden & Bar and Lake County Physical Therapy LLC.

The Chairman's Award nominees are Village of Hoffman Estates - Economic Development Department, Amita Health, Transform SR Holdings (formerly Sears) and Alden Poplar Creek.
