GO Gurnee to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville

GO Gurnee, the walking club program organized by the Gurnee Park District, will host a volunteer event at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville on Saturday.

Volunteers will pack food into boxes for the organization and, as an added bonus, they will likely get in their steps for the day as if they'd been on a regular GO Gurnee walk.

Gurnee village trustee and GO Gurnee volunteer Quin O'Brien said that in a two-hour shift working at the Feed My Starving Children warehouse, he'll walk more than two miles.

"Exercise is where you find it," O'Brien said.

Volunteers will work from 9 to 11 a.m. To register find the event on the GO Gurnee Facebook page.
