Census hiring event Wednesday in Schaumburg

Cook County Commissioner Kevin B. Morrison will host a 2020 Census Hiring Event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Trickster Native Cultural Connections, 190 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about the thousands of temporary positions available to assist with the 2020 Census, speak to representatives from the U.S. Census Bureau, and apply for open positions.

Applicants are needed for census takers, census field supervisors and jobs throughout northwest Cook County. Most positions offer flexible hours, paid training, weekly paychecks and competitive wages. Cook County pay rates currently listed by the U.S. Census Bureau are $26.50-$29.50 an hour. Census takers also receive reimbursement for work-related mileage and expenses, where applicable.
