Police: Man was dealing drugs out of home near Lake Forest High School

A Lake Forest man faces multiple felony charges after an investigation police say began after receiving reports of drug dealing to students at Lake Forest High School.

Sage Lawrence, 22 of the 300 block of Noble Avenue, is charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of cannabis stemming from his arrest Wednesday.

Lake Forest police say they began investigating Lawrence after receiving information he was selling narcotics from his residence to students at the nearby high school.

During a search of the home, police said, officers recovered psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, 31 containers of THC vape cartridges, drug paraphernalia and supplies used for the packaging and selling of narcotics.

Due to the home's proximity to Lake Forest High School, school administrators initiated a soft lockdown for 10 minutes Wednesday while police served a search warrant and secured the residence.
