Morrison hosts tech seminar for seniors Jan. 23 in Palatine

State Rep. Tom Morrison is teaming with AT&T to host a technology seminar for seniors at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Palatine Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Road, in Palatine.

The event will open with a presentation on using wireless devices to improve your life, keeping your phone and information safe, and helping you connect safely. The second portion of the seminar will include demonstrations, discussions and time for answering questions.

"It is difficult to keep up with the constantly changing scope of technology in today's world," Morrison, a Republican from Palatine, said in an announcement of the seminar. "I hope this event can help seniors in our community learn how to best use today's technology so they can keep in touch with loved ones and learn about helpful apps that can make their lives a little easier."

An RSVP is required. To register, call Morrison's office at (847) 202-6584.

Attendees are invited to stay for lunch provided by the Palatine Senior Center. A suggested donation of $3.50 will be accepted. To reserve your spot for lunch, contact the Palatine Senior Center Café at (847) 991-0022.
