Teen goes missing from youth home near Des Plaines

The Cook County sheriff's office is looking for the public's help in finding a teen who went missing Sunday from the Des Plaines area.

Darilimar "Dara" Martinez, 16, was last seen about 12:45 p.m. Sunday at The Harbour, a youth home on the 300 block of North East River Road, according to a news release from the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

Martinez is a "youth in care" and is considered endangered, authorities said.

She's about 5-foot-3 with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black T-shirt, white gym shoes and an orange coat. Her left eye is black, the release said. She might be on the West Side of Chicago, authorities said.
