Molly's Cupcakes opens at Woodfield Mall

Woodfield Mall's holiday shoppers got a sweet surprise with the earlier-than-expected opening of Molly's Cupcakes.

Quickly expanding from its flagship location on North Clark Street in Chicago, the Woodfield Mall opening marks the sixth in the Chicago market and only the second suburban location for the winner of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars.

Named "One of the 10 Best Cupcake Bakeries in the Country" by USA Today, Molly's namesake was the founder's third-grade teacher who baked "the best cupcakes ever" for every student's birthday.

In honor of Molly, a portion of each location's profits are donated to schools in the local community.

Molly's is located in Woodfield Mall's lower level Lord & Taylor/Nordstrom wing, near Bath & Body Works.

Also this holiday season, Burger King will open in Woodfield Mall's Dining Pavilion by mid-December.
