North Barrington, Lake Barrington extend deal with sheriff

The Lake County Board on Tuesday approved an agreement to provide police services to Lake Barrington and North Barrington for another three years.

The contract totals about $2.96 million. Based on population served, Lake Barrington will pay about 57% of the monthly cost and North Barrington about 43%. The contract continues 24-hour, one car per shift service, seven days a week, every day of the year.

According to the agreement, three deputies will work 8.5 hour shifts each day and the villages will pay 100% the cost of the contract sheriff deputy positions for all three years.
