Arlington Heights village manager gets 4% raise

Arlington Heights Village Manager Randy Recklaus has received a 4% raise following his annual performance review with the village board.

The pay boost, approved 7-0 by the board Monday, is retroactive to Nov. 10. Recklaus' new annual salary is $223,173.

Board members also will allow Recklaus to be paid for up to 10 unused vacation days a year, under a new term approved in his employment agreement. He currently receives 24 days annually.

A year ago, the board inked a four-year contract extension with Recklaus, keeping him as head of day-to-day operations for the village until Nov. 10, 2022.
