Survivor Day at Barrington Area Library

International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day will be recognized in a program Saturday in Barrington. Set from 1 to 4 p.m. at Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., the local event is designed to help people affected by suicide loss to find comfort and gain understanding as they share stories of healing and hope. It's also an opportunity to discover that they are not alone in their experience of losing someone to suicide. Lunch will be served. To register, email jlhutchisonlcpc@gmail.com. Also known as Survivor Day, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention supports hundreds of large and small Survivor Day events around the world. Survivor Day was designated by the U.S. Congress.
