Palatine police announce traffic safety crackdown

Palatine police announced Monday they'll participate in a traffic enforcement crackdown wrapping around Thanksgiving. Officials said the campaign will start Friday and run through the early morning hours on Dec. 2. Palatine police will focus on impaired and unbuckled drivers. The "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns are paid for by federal traffic safety money administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
