A man robbed a First Midwest Bank in Waukegan, police said Friday.

Waukegan police officers responded to the bank on the 1200 block of Golf Road about 4:30 p.m. Thursday and learned a man had walked up to a teller and demanded money through a note. The robber implied he was armed, but bank employees saw no weapon, police said in a news release.

Police are not releasing the amount of money taken during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black man in his 30s with a dark complexion and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a light blue denim jacket, dark sweatshirt under the jacket, and a Chicago Bulls cap. The robber, who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weights 170 pounds, fled the area on foot.

No one was hurt.
