A student at Parkland Preparatory Academy in Streamwood was charged with aggravated battery for touching a teacher inappropriately, police said.
The teacher was helping Jake Sage Devuono, 19, of Arlington Heights with an assignment about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5 when he touched her, according to a Streamwood Police Department police report issued Thursday. When asked why he did that, Devuono told the victim he "could not help himself," according to the report.
The teacher contacted school personnel to have Devuono removed from the classroom, and he later was arrested. While in custody, Devuono told officers he squeezed the teacher's thigh but not "with any sexual thought or intention," according to the report.
