Images: Día de los Muertos celebrations in the suburbs

Mundelein School District held a Día de los Muertos: Celebration of Life cultural event on Friday, Nov. 1 at Carl Sandburg Middle School in Mundelein. More than 250 people attended the event which included activities for children, face painting, sugar skull making and entertainment from The Ballet Folklorico Erandi dance troupe. Other celebrations were also held in the suburbs including one at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines.
