Hanover Township to welcome new U-46 board members, principals

Hanover Township will host its annual New Leaders in Education reception on Tuesday, Oct. 15, for local elected leaders to meet with new leadership in Elgin Area School District U-46.

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59 in Bartlett, the township will welcome new school board members Kate Thommes and Eva Porter; Jennifer Van Deusen, principal of Streamwood High School; Cyndi Aleman, principal of Nature Ridge Elementary School; Stephanie Sylvester, principal of Liberty Elementary School; and Noe Velazquez, principal of Lords Park Elementary School.

Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire and Suzanne Johnson, deputy superintendent of instruction, will speak during the ceremony, and other local officials are expected to attend.
