Celebration for opening of The Hampton Social in South Barrington

A celebration recently was held to mark the official opening of long-awaited The Hampton Social, an East Coast-inspired seafood restaurant at the Arboretum of South Barrington.

Officials from the village, the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and Arboretum management gathered with The Hampton Social's representatives for a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week.

The Hampton Social is the latest addition to the upscale plaza at Higgins Road and Route 59. It's near the long-running Pinstripes.

"We are very excited to be opening our sixth U.S. location in The Arboretum of South Barrington and truly appreciate the community support," said owner Brad Parker.

"This is an ideal spot to introduce The Hampton Social's lifestyle concept - a dining hot spot that evokes East Coast living in every aspect, from the whitewashed nautical walls to the signature seafood fare."

Construction on the roughly 12,500-square-foot establishment began at the Arboretum in early 2018. One of the highlights is a 3,000-square-foot patio with a retractable roof, outdoor bar, fire pits and Adirondack chairs.
