Repairs to close Fairfield Road in the Round Lake area beginning October 2

Fairfield Road between Route 120 and Route 134 in the Round Lake area will be closed to through traffic for more than a month starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.

According to the Lake County Division of Transportation, the closure is necessary to replace a culvert at Squaw Creek. The road is expected to reopen to all traffic on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

The detour will be Route 120 to Wilson Road to Route 134. Local traffic will have access from Route 134 south to Nippersink Road and local residences and from Route 120 north to local residences. The road will be closed to all through traffic at Squaw Creek.
