Lake Park seeks input for superintendent search

Lake Park High School District 108 will hold a community focus group next week to assist with its search for a superintendent to replace Lynn Panega, who is retiring next June.

The district has hired a search firm, School Exec Connect, that recommended conducting an audit of District 108's strengths, challenges and goals, as well as determining the attributes necessary for a new superintendent to be successful.

The focus group session is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at Lake Park's East Campus, 600 S. Medinah Road, Roselle, and should last about 45 minutes. The school board already has published an online survey to assist in the development of a leadership profile to be used in the superintendent search.

The survey link, available on the district website at www.lphs.org, will remain open until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. All responses are anonymous and confidential.
