Holocaust survivor coming to Palatine Public Library

Palatine Public Library will host an adult program featuring the book "Transcending Darkness: A Girl's Journey Out of the Holocaust" by Estelle Glaser Laughlin. Scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17, the Holocaust survivor and author is expected to describe her childhood in Warsaw as Nazis invaded Poland, resulting in her family's expulsion from the country and her life in a concentration camp.
