Last Fling opens in Naperville to close out summer

As summer begins to fade, we don't have to say goodbye - instead we can simply say see you next year.

That's the spirit behind the Naperville Jaycees Last Fling festival, which opened Friday and continues through Monday in downtown Naperville.

This is the 54th annual end-of-summer bash and it will include concerts by Vertical Horizon at 8 p.m. Saturday and Big Head Todd and the Monsters on the main stage at 8 p.m. Sunday.

On Monday, the city's annual Labor Day parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Naperville North High School. There's also the Frank E's Fling Mile that begins and ends at 8:30 a.m. on Main Street.
