Lake County Stormwater Management Commission hosting meeting on increased rainfall

The second of three public meetings regarding increased rainfall in Illinois will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the Barrington village hall, 200 S. Hough St. The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission will present the increased rainfall data, as well as a timeline of the regulatory process and resources and tools for best practices, and discussing stormwater-related issues and concerns from the audience. The third meeting is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at Round Lake High School and will include a floodproofing component. The public, stakeholders and those interested in learning how rainfall affects Lake County are encouraged to attend. Visit https://www.lakecountyil.gov/.
