Donate cellphones for soldiers in Buffalo Grove

Donations of old or unused cellphones are being sought for Cellphones for Soldiers, an organization that lets active duty military personnel call home at no charge.

The program makes it possible for active duty soldiers to stay in touch with loved one for free, according to 59th District state Rep. Daniel Didech, whose office at 3050 N. Main St. in Buffalo Grove is a drop off location. More than 300 million hours of free talk time has been provided to active-duty members of the armed forces since 2004.
