Streamwood teen faces attempted murder charges

A Streamwood teen was charged with attempted murder after prosecutors say he and three other people beat a man earlier this month.

Graham Green, 19, is charged in the attack at about 1:21 a.m. June 1 on Queensbury Circle in Hoffman Estates.

Green was ordered held on $275,000 bail and must submit to GPS monitoring if released.

Prosecutors did not go into the circumstances surrounding the attack, but they say at one point Green - who was on parole at the time - pointed a gun "and stated he wanted to shoot the man," said Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Loukas Kalliantasis.

The man, who claims to have lost consciousness several times, will require surgery to repair his nose, said Kalliantasis. The man named who he said attacked him. Only one, Green, has been arrested, Kalliantasis said.

Green was convicted last year for possession of a controlled substance.

If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison. He next appears in court on July 12.
