Palatine police make four drug arrests during enforcement campaign

Palatine police this week announced the results of a special traffic enforcement crackdown from May 10-28.

During the mobilization period, police issued 99 tickets for mobile device use while driving, 135 seat belt violations and made four drug arrests. There also were three speeding tickets.

The police effort designed to coincide with the long Memorial Day weekend was meant to highlight the importance of seat-belt use through enforcement and community outreach.
