Rolling Meadows man charged with sexually abusing girl
A 44-year-old Rolling Meadows man was ordered held on $200,000 bail Tuesday on charges he sexually abused a young girl.
Prosecutors say Jose Alberto Cano-Villalobos abused the girl for two years beginning in 2014 when she was 6.
Additionally, Cano-Villalobos showed the girl pornographic videos on his cellphone, said Assistant Cook County States Attorney Loukas Kalliantasis.
The girl told a teacher about the abuse earlier this year, Kalliantasis said.
Cano-Villalobos was arrested Monday.
If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison. He next appears in court on June 27.
