'Suspicious' man seen looking into windows of Naperville elementary school
Naperville police are searching for a "suspicious" man who was looking into windows at an elementary school Wednesday afternoon.
The man was reportedly peering into windows at Kendall Elementary School on the south side of the city while students were still in class, according to police.
Witnesses described the person as a white man who is about 25 years old and wore a black hooded sweatshirt, police said. He left the school property in a gray SUV-type vehicle before police officers arrived.
Indian Prairie School District 204 Superintendent Karen Sullivan said school officials immediately called police, and officers stayed on campus during dismissal.
"Please note at no time were any of our students or staff threatened," Sullivan said in a statement on the district's website.
