Stretch of North Old Rand Road remains closed in Lake Zurich
North Old Rand Road in will remain closed indefinitely to all non-construction traffic between Lakebreeze Court and Route 12 until further notice, as work crews continue sewer work in the area, village officials say.
The contractor has completed the main sewer installation under North Old Rand (the operation that requires frequent trucking) and is working on connecting building service lines to the new sewer, according to the village. This process will likely continue through Friday and include significant work in the parkway along the Bayshore parking lot.
Residents should be careful in the area and keep away from excavations as they may not be stable, the village said.
