Stevenson, District 128 high schools ranked among state's best

Lincolnshire's Stevenson High School has been ranked Illinois' top open-enrollment high school in the annual U.S. News and World Report study, school officials announced.

Overall, Stevenson was ranked sixth in Illinois and 155th in the nation. Last year, Stevenson was ranked seventh in the state and 199th nationally.

Other highly ranked Lake County schools include Libertyville High School, which placed 10th in the state and 267th in the nation, and Vernon Hills High School, which ranked 23rd in Illinois and 443rd nationally.
