Principal: No credible threat at Rolling Meadows High School

Rolling Meadows High School Principal Eileen Hart released a letter to families Friday morning saying there was no credibility to a social media rumor of a threat at the school.

An earlier message from Northwest Suburban High School District 214 stated that the staff had found a threat scrawled on a bathroom wall but equally emphasized that no evidence of credibility had been found.

A greater police presence was added at the school while the matter was investigated, but all classes remained scheduled.

Activities were first said to remain scheduled, but a later note said they would be canceled, including the boys track meet at the school tonight.

In her letter, Hart also mentioned that many parents and students have informed the administration that Friday is a "senior ditch day."
