Recycling and shredding event Saturday in Arlington Heights

The annual Spring Sweep electronics recycling and document shredding event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the parking lot of Arlington International Racecourse.

Residents of Arlington Heights and 22 other member communities of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County are eligible to participate in the event, which is sponsored by the agency and the village's special events commission.


Up to six legal file-sized boxes or paper bags of documents per vehicle are allowed. As residents drive up, workers will remove boxes and bags of paper documents and electronic items. Drivers should enter the parking lot from New Wilke Road.
