Four suspects were taken into custody Saturday night after a chase that involved both Chicago and Illinois State Police, and ended in Schaumburg.

Chicago police said officers responded to a shots fired call.

Two men, one 21 and another 26, reported they were walking out of a residence when someone in a silver vehicle fired shots in their direction. No one was struck, and the offenders fled the scene, police said.

Responding officers spotted the vehicle in the 3200 block of South Morgan Street in Chicago at approximately 10:46 p.m. Saturday.

According to the state police, Chicago police alerted state police they were in pursuit of the vehicle.

Illinois State Police District Chicago joined the pursuit on northbound I-94 near Garfield Avenue. The chase continued to westbound Lake-Cook Road at Northwest Highway, where state police units left off the pursuit.

A state police District 15 unit later caught up with the vehicle in the area of Route 53 southbound from I-90.

The chase ended when the vehicle with the suspects ran over a raised center median at Higgins and Frontage roads.
