Hoffman Estates man threatened minor over nude photos, police say

A Hoffman Estates man wanted on child pornography charges has been arrested, authorities announced Saturday.

Juan C. Castaneda-Adame, 20, of the 900 block of Evanston Street, was arrested Friday by the Lake County sheriff's warrants team and a U.S. marshals' fugitive task force.

A warranted for Castaneda-Adame's arrest was issued Tuesday following a Round Lake Beach police investigation.

Police said Castaneda-Adame asked a minor for nude photos and then threatened to share them with other people once he had them.

Castaneda-Adame is charged with felony counts of child pornography, grooming and intimidation.

Castaneda-Adame was arrested at his workplace in Arlington Heights, sheriff's police said.

Castaneda-Adame is being held at the Lake County jail and his bail was set at $100,000. He is scheduled to appear in court May 2.
