Warrant issued for Waukegan man charged in Gurnee shooting

Police are searching for a 25-year-old Waukegan man accused of shooting a person in a parking lot in Gurnee in January, authorities said.

An arrest warrant was issued March 29 for Christian D. Reese for shooting the 42-year-old victim on the 6000 block of Grand Avenue on Jan. 4, authorities said. The victim survived the shooting.

Reese stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said, and members of the public should not attempt to apprehend him. Reese is charged with felony counts of armed violence, aggravated battery, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
