Native tree and plant sale:
Openlands will host a spring native tree and plant sale, offered online and through a pop-up shop in Lake County. Online orders will be accepted from April 5 through April 28 at OpenlandsPlantSale.org. These native species are not generally available at traditional nurseries and garden centers and are chosen specifically for the plants' landscaping aesthetics and suitability for private properties. Prices are lower and selection much larger online than at the pop-up shop, which will operate 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17-18 and May 24-25 at 31610 N. Almond Road, Libertyville Township. Proceeds support Openlands programs in Lake County. All online orders must be collected during pop-up shop hours.
