Palatine Park District holding community forum on plans for new skate park

The Palatine Park District will host a Skate Park Community Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, to seek community input and ideas on plans for a new skate park at Riemer Reservoir, located at the corner of Wood Street and Quentin Road.

The new skate park will replace the existing park located near the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater in Community Park.

The forum, set to take place at the Community Center, 250 E. Wood St., will be a drop-in event hosted by park district staff, as well as representatives from American Ramp Company. Discussion topics will include equipment components, park layout, beginner and advanced sections, and policies, rules, and procedures.

Those interested in providing their thoughts are encouraged to RSVP to Todd Ranum at tranum@palatineparks.org or (847) 496-6238.
