Vaping workshop in Gurnee

A workshop to inform parents, educators and residents about vaping is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Woodland Middle School, 7000 Washington St., Gurnee. The free event includes discussion how to recognize if a teen is smoking e-cigarettes, what e-cigarettes look like and how they work, possible long-term effects and more. A vaping exhibit, community resource tables and medication take back will be offered. The event is held in partnership with Lake County State's Attorney Mike Nerheim, LEAD and Warren Township Youth & Family Services.
