Springfest Expo set for March 31

The Lindenhurst-Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce will provide educational free talks delivered by experts in their fields at the annual Springfest Expo on Sunday, March 31. The free event is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lakes Community High School, 1600 Eagle Way, Lake Villa. Starting at noon, the professionals will share their knowledge on these topics: "Retire with Confidence" by certified financial planner Mary Erl; "Leaving Lightly, Getting Your Affairs in Order" by Janet Lee Kraft; and "Cybersecurity, How to Stay Safe Online" by John Gunn. The Springfest Expo includes businesses, crafters and nonprofits representing home and garden, health and wellness, finance and insurance, and more. Free health screenings and a blood drive are available, along with entertainment, including Jason the stilt-walker, Bella's Bouncies and a training demonstration with a police dog unit.
