Schaumburg's Bethel Lane project wins accolades

The village of Schaumburg's Bethel Lane Relocation Project has been awarded several accolades from the American Public Works Association.

The project was first selected as the Public Works Project of the Year by the Suburban Branch of the Chicago Metro Chapter of the American Public Works Association. The relocation project received the award in the transportation category for projects less than $5 million.

The project will now move on to compete at the national level.

Bethel Lane was temporarily closed in the spring of 2017 while the roadway was relocated and reconstructed between Pleasant Drive and Roselle Road to improve safe traffic flow for both cars and pedestrians.
