Lake County warrants team captures two fugitives

The Lake County Sheriff's Office Warrants Team and the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended two fugitives on Tuesday, authorities said.

Andrew C. Wikoff, 38, of Waukegan, was arrested in Beach Park on a failure to appear in court warrant stemming from a 2015 drug-induced homicide case, authorities said. Wikoff had cut off an ankle monitoring device he was required to wear as a condition of his release on bond, according to sheriff's police.

Daniel P. Pemrick, 63, of unincorporated Lake County near Gurnee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. He moved without notifying authorities, the sheriff's office said.

The warrants team found him in living in an Ingleside home with a 9-year-old child, in violation of his bond. Pemrick is charged with another count of failure to register as a sex offender and is back in Lake County jail, officials said.
