Rail crossing at Arlington Heights Road, Northwest Highway to close a few days

The railroad crossing at Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway will be closed beginning Tuesday morning through Thursday, March 21, while Union Pacific replaces concrete pads, village officials said.

Detour signs directing traffic will be placed throughout the vicinity of the crossing.

Northbound traffic will turn right at Central Road, turn left on Northwest Highway, and head back to Arlington Heights Road. Southbound traffic on Arlington Heights Road is to turn left at Northwest Highway, then right on Central Road, and back to Arlington Heights Road.
