Issue questions

I will be running for my second term in office. During my first term I was able to accomplish many positive things that continue to make the Village of Streamwood a great place in which to live. During my tenure we have been able to keep the property tax rate flat. I support the different commissions established in our community such as the veterans', natural conservancy, community relations and blood commissions from which all Streamwood residents and non-residents benefit.

During my second term I will continue to work on keeping the tax rate flat, as well as working on implementing items we have identified in our Village Comprehensive Plan. A couple of items identified in that plan are to greatly enhance the bicycle paths throughout the village, and to build a pedestrian bridge across Route 59 near Irving Park Road. Also, I would like to have one or two electronic signs installed around the village as another method of keeping everyone notified of what's happening in our village.

I will work with our community and planning commissions to encourage and welcome new businesses into our village. I will continue to focus upon providing great services to our residents. I understand how important it is to listen to the voices of the residents of Streamwood to ensure I am keeping my attention focused on why I am here to serve our community.
