Bunny Rock 5K and Egg Hunt
The first Bunny Rock 5K and Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 13, at Hawthorn Mall, routes 60 and 21 in Vernon Hills. The 5K race starts at 8:30 a.m. Participants receive bunny ears, neon sunglasses and a Dri-Fit T-shirt. The Egg Hunt is for ages 2-10 and begins at 9:45 a.m. The event features 3,000 candy-filled eggs along the course, a live petting zoo with more than 20 animals and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Children will receive baskets for their eggs, bunny ears and sunglasses. The run is $39.75 and the egg hunt $10 until April 5, when prices increase.
